Our Story, Our Concept
Royal ADV Cambodia is a premium motorbike tour company and a new actor in the tourism industry in Cambodia since 2023.
We offer unique and unforgettable experiences for travelers of all levels, taking you off the beaten path to experience Cambodia's natural beauty, rich culture, and friendly people. Our excursions range from short day trips to multi-day adventures, and can be tailored to your interests and budget. We offer brand new motorbikes that are both road and off-road capable, comfortable accommodations, support vehicles, and experienced guides to make your trip safe and enjoyable. |
As a land of hidden treasures with more motorcyclists than motorists, Cambodia is a wonderful place to be discovered on a two wheeler. Our Kingdom of Wonder Riding Experience takes you on a journey through the country's most beautiful and remote regions, from the bustling capital of Phnom Penh to the ancient temples of the Angkor Wat era.
Along the way, you'll see hidden pagodas in the jungle, enjoy stunning views over the Thai border, and cross bamboo bridges and WWII German railways. You'll also have the chance to meet the friendly people of Cambodia and learn about their culture. |
The Team
Our Founders
Gauthier - Papa Gogo
Gauthier TREU, alias Papa Gogo, the barang ('foreigner' in Khmer language) with Kroma, symbol of Khmer culture and identity, was born in Lille in the North of France in 1969 and lived in Switzerland. He is a passionate biker who has been riding both in the dry and wet seasons in Cambodia for more than 10 years. He is known for his love of adventure and his willingness to explore new places with his 'big thumper' trail bike.
Papa Gogo is also an experienced mountain biker who has an in-depth knowledge of the Cambodian terrain and a few places that are kept 'secret'. He is a great asset to any group of bikers visiting South East Asia. It is in his nature, always ready to share his knowledge and experience. A true adventurer, he loves nothing more than hitting the road to discover new things. He likes to take on new challenges and is not afraid to surpass himself. Papa Gogo is also a great storyteller of Cambodian adventures that he likes to share with others. He is a wealth of knowledge about Cambodia and is always happy to help others learn more about the country he loves. If you are looking for a guide, Papa Gogo can show you the best of Cambodia, he is the right man for you: a competent, experienced and passionate motorcyclist who will make your trip unforgettable. |
Chris - Zigdax
Chris DANZE is a passionate Belgian motorcyclist who has been riding since he was 9 years old. In the 1980s his father had refurbished an old Suzuki RM80 which he had saved from breaking and it was for Chris the beginning of a real passion for all motorized two-wheelers.
Enthusiastic about the riding experience and having ridden no less than fifty motorcycles acquired over the years, from his 1969 Honda ST50 to his Moto Guzzi Breva 750, Chris never stopped being active in the motorcycle business in one way or another. Today, as a recognized trusted member of the biker community in Cambodia, primarily for his dedication since the inception of Mototom Cambodia, a non-profit community dedicated solely to the motorcycle world, Chris is always ready to help others. |
He is renowned for his attention to detail and his dedication to providing the best possible service. This personality trait is also found in his editorial contributions to Wikipedia through the creation of original articles dedicated to the motorcycle world. It is in fact quite logical that he joined forces with Gauthier to create Royal ADV Cambodia and form the main duo behind the project.

Captain Quentin
Quentin Despreaux was born in Saint Etienne (France) in 1989; he grew up near Avignon in the south of France where he made his first steps on all kinds of motorbikes, one of his passions that he completed with a motorcycle mechanics school since he was 14 years old.
Quiet and friendly in nature, he will lead you safely on your motorbike excursion. His skills as a mechanic are very useful for the maintenance of our fleet and his attention on the road makes him an ideal companion. He loves riding all ranges of motorcycles for that unbeatable feeling of total freedom and at 35 years old he chose the Adventure style with his Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. Living for 10 years in this incredible country, he will guide you through the hidden spots of Cambodia and especially around Kampot which he knows perfectly. Trilingual; French, English but also the Khmer language which he masters which is an appreciable asset when interacting with the local population. We welcome him as Captain Quentin on the beautiful roads of Cambodia. |

Royal Enfield Motorcycles: Made like a Gun!
Cambodia is a land of ancient temples, lush jungles, and winding rivers. It is also a land of rugged terrain and unpredictable weather. For those who want to explore this beautiful country on two wheels, a Royal Enfield motorcycle is the perfect choice. Our partnership with the fantastic Royal Enfield team in Phnom Penh allows us to enjoy the most recent models as well as a very well taken care fleet. Royal Enfield motorcycles are known for their ruggedness, timeless classic style and reliability, making them ideal for our tours in Cambodia. |
The Himalayan & Scram 411 models are a particularly good choice for our tours, as they are mid-size agile bikes that are well-suited for both paved and unpaved roads. They also have a comfortable seat and upright riding position, making them easy to ride for long periods of time.

You can ask a question here if you can't find an answer below.
HOW ARE YOUR TOURS DIFFERENT?
Long-time expatriates, we have acquired a great knowledge of the country and can show you around it outside the usual tourist attractions. Moreover, by focusing on fun and discovery, we do not choose a discount program and we aim at your full satisfaction in terms of adventure and comfort. When possible, we can modify the tours according to your wishes. Our French-speaking, English-speaking and Khmer team will be able to guide you in the three languages across the country.
WHAT ROUTES DO YOU OFFER?
The nicest roads in the country are the least traveled. Therefore, we travel in priority on smaller secondary roads and red laterite tracks. Depending on the seasons, which modify the condition of these roads, we make sure to offer you others that are just as attractive and interesting. During the dry season, we prefer dirt roads while in the monsoon, we opt for safer secondary roads**.
** For the western part of the country, it should be mentioned that 130KM of muddy tracks in the rainy season can become “a memorable day” – once you arrive at the hotel at the end of the day...

WHAT LEVEL OF MOTORCYCLE DRIVING SHOULD YOU HAVE?
We ask our participants to have at least traveled several thousand kilometers in the past and to be in possession of the A2 license. However, we prioritize pleasure above all and we do not impose a frantic pace on drivers or machines. The 'confirmed beginner' level is therefore the minimum necessary to join us. If an off-road experience is not requested, we nevertheless inform you that driving standing on the footrests and the use of degraded dirt or gravel roads are often part of the adventure that we offer you. Occasionally, we can drive flat out without ending too badly, as humorously depicted in the comic Joe Bar Team!
CAN WE CHOOSE OUR HOTELS?
We select the best hotels and resorts for each tour. Our goal is your comfort. Therefore, it is important for us to choose the places equipped with the best swimming pools and equipment. However, if you had to choose a specific hotel, we will ensure that the motorcycles are also safe there. Then yes, you can suggest us your selection and we will adapt accordingly.
WHAT ABOUT WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE?
We want to offer you the essentials which is why we have “all inclusive” formulas. Accommodation, motorbike fuel, morning and midday meals, drinking water and massages scheduled at the end of the day are included. However, we have chosen to leave the choice of the evening meal up to you. To learn more, please refer to our services page.
REGARDING THE FOOD, IS IT LOCAL?
The cuisine of Cambodia is diverse and generally less spicy than that of Thailand. We would be delighted to introduce you to it. Despite this, all major cities across the country have international culinary options. For breakfast, you will have local and international options to choose from most of the time, while at lunchtime, the road will offer us local dishes ranging from chicken and fried duck (real farmyard poultry!) to stir-fried noodles or the famous ‘Kuteav’ (local noodle soups). During our e-mail exchanges, we will take into account food intolerances and preferences. However, expect, and this is what makes the charm of exotic holidays, surprises that will make you discover the culinary particularities of the country!
WHY ARE EVENING MEALS NOT INCLUDED?
In certain cities, the restaurant offer is so vast that it becomes difficult to choose for you. A wood-fired pizza, a fillet of Wagyu beef accompanied by a Burgundy grand cru and an Opera cake might be what you want. We don't want to restrict your choices, so we give you the freedom to choose the perfect restaurant. If you wish, we can also offer you an "all-inclusive" formula with catering options chosen by us.
ARE YOUR MOTORCYCLES POWERFUL ENOUGH?
In the land of smiles, it is advised to ride at a moderate pace if you want to keep it. The numerous hazards on local roads are enough to discourage anyone from riding aggressively. We favor the use of recent comfortable medium-capacity motorcycles that are easy to drive in the most varied conditions in complete safety. Each of our models is equipped with ABS. The Royal Enfield motorcycles are the perfect choice for our tours because of these reasons. If we had more powerful motorcycles, our offers would be much more expensive.
IS THE PRICE OF THE TOURS DIFFERENT DURING THE TOURIST SEASON?
This is true, normally…
The main difference can be seen in the hotel services. The price of rooms in 4-star resorts can sometimes go up to two.
However, for each tour of 4+ days, we find the best opportunities to offer you a suitable and personalized quote.
