This tour in the north of Cambodia, between Siem Reap and the Thai border, is a great way to experience the diversity of the country's landscape and culture. The route is not too long, so you can take regular breaks to take photos, relax, or explore the local villages. And because the tour is in the north, you'll avoid the high temperatures of the afternoon (or the rain, depending on the season).

The journey is punctuated by many interesting places, from isolated archaeological sites to an impressive waterfall. The circuit is a mixture of asphalt and red dirt roads, which provides a variety of terrain to explore.

DAY – 1 | SIEM REAP | MEETING

Welcome to Cambodia, the land of Khmer temples!

After your arrival in Siem Reap, you can check into your 4-star hotel by 2:00 PM and enjoy the beautiful swimming pools.

At 5:00 PM, you will attend a briefing to meet your team and equipment. This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow riders and learn about the gear you will be using. After the briefing, there will be a welcome drink to toast the beginning of the adventure.

Dinner will be served, and you can then choose to relax by the pool or take a tuk-tuk trip into town.

Included accommodation: 4-star resort with a beautiful saltwater pool and a long natural pool.
Included meals that day: dinner after the briefing downtown or at the resort.

Important information: This first day we are not driving.
If you have already been in Cambodia for a few days to explore the top 10 of the Angkor site, we can book a few additional nights at the hotel we have chosen for you. This will allow you to relax and enjoy your time in Cambodia even more.

DAY 1 | LOOP AROUND SIEM REAP | 180KM

After a refreshing swim or a hearty breakfast, you'll set off on your bikes for a day of exploration along the Tonle Sap river, one of the sources of the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.

You will go through the Angkor National Park, home to some of the most impressive temples in the world. You'll stop at Banteay Srei, a finely carved temple known as the "Fortress of Women."

Next, you'll climb to the top of Phnom Koulen, a sacred mountain that is home to a giant reclining Buddha. The climb is steep, but the views from the top are worth it.

In the afternoon, you'll cool off at a waterfall in the national park.

The journey finally leads us to the fantastic temple where was shot Deux Frères in 2004, Jean Jacques Annaud's film, before a return to our hotel for a well deserved rest after this rich adventure.

DAY 2 | SIEM REAP TO PREAH VIHEAR | 200KM

Our first stop is the 1000 Linga River, a sacred site where thousands of ancient Hindu sculptures are carved into the riverbed. We hike to the river and explore the carvings, which are a testament to the ingenuity and artistry of the Khmer people.

Next, we ride our motorbikes to the temple of Preah Vihear, which is perched on a cliff 500 meters above sea level. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We spend the afternoon exploring the temple and taking in the scenery.

This is a day of contrasts, from the ancient carvings of the 1000 Linga River to the soaring heights of Preah Vihear. It is a day to experience the beauty and history of Cambodia, and to marvel at the ingenuity of the Khmer people.

Note: In Cambodia, it takes longer to ride the same distance than in Western countries!

DAY 3 | PREAH VIHEAR TO STUNG TRENG | 260KM

This is the longest day of the tour, but it is also the most refreshing. We ride our motorbikes at a brisk pace on red laterite tracks that are generally in good condition. The scenery is stunning, and we pass through lush forests.

We stop at the waterfalls on the Laotian border, which are some of the most impressive in Cambodia. The falls are incredibly powerful and noisy, and they are a truly awe-inspiring sight.

We arrive at our hotel in Stung Treng in the late afternoon. We can enjoy a leisurely dinner along the Mekong.

Note: You can rest assured that you will sleep well that night!

DAY 4 | STUNG TRENG TO KOH KER | 220KM

We stop at the impressive pyramid of Koh Ker, a 7-storey pyramidal sanctuary that was once the capital of the Khmer Empire. We can climb to the top of the temple-mountain and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

This is a day to experience the power and majesty of ancient Khmer architecture, and to appreciate the beauty of Cambodia's natural landscape.

Included meals: breakfast and lunch.

Note: You can enjoy the night more than usual and sleep more in the morning, as the following day is a shorter journey.

DAY 5 | BACK TO SIEM REAP | 120KM

After a short morning ride, we reach the Roluos archaeological site, the oldest in the Khmer Empire and its first capital.

In the evening, we gather for a debriefing and a free cocktail. We also enjoy a delicious meal together and relax after this last day of exploring.

Included massage: one-hour four-handed relaxing massage.

Note: It's your last day on the motorbike, the massage allows you to get back in shape and to forget the aches or other cramps after this trip filled with memories.

DAY AFTER | SIEM REAP

Depending on your departure time, we can come with you to the wonderful Siem Reap Market to bring gifts to your family and friends.

Accommodation not included.

Included meal: breakfast.

Note: If you wish to extend your trip, we can assist you in organizing the remaining days in Cambodia.

The tour does not have an assistance vehicle, but luggage transport and tour leaders are included.
The motorcycle booked is a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 (included in the rate).
The advertised price of $1690 is variable and can be adjusted to your personal requests (e.g., cheaper rooms or more comfort). The tour is designed to be flexible and adaptable to your needs.

Required experience

Must be able to stand on the motorcycle.

Must be able to ride a few hundred kilometers a day.

Note

The route is made of tracks and easy secondary roads.

The grip condition can be affected by rain, so it is important to be prepared for it.
